Half a day presentation on the public Grid set up for the Italian Economic and Finance Research Community.
During this half-day session, EGRID presented and discussed its implementation. The infrastructure builds upon the public Italian INFN Grid and the public European EGEE Grid, it caters to the needs of select Italian research projects in those fields, and it is funded by the Italian Ministry of Education (MIUR). The final release of the infrastructure, which successfully addresses crucial data management issues, was presented and discussed in detail. Significant EGRID user experiences were also presented. The session ended with a hands-on demo using the EGRID Portal.
